But did you know that you don’t do the same for others?

In the link below I reveal why I think that might be the case.

Losing weight isn’t easy. I’ll admit it.

There is no simple 5 minute abs, or any magic diet pill.

But people are drawn to those ads for one reason:

They are lazy.

Getting in shape and losing weight takes hard work.

Losing weight is a personal goal I’ve recently achieved. At my highest point, I weighed over 305 pounds. I am proud to say that I now weigh 90 pounds less than that number.

It took work.

In the link to my article below, I lay out some step by step exercise tips to get you started.

Be more proactive.

Sure, sounds simple enough.

But why? Why should we do it?

Being proactive give you the ability to take control of circumstances in your life.

It takes you out of the victim mentality.

If you don’t challenge yourself to be proactive, you will just fall behind and be given whatever is left over in life.

Don’t be a victim to your circumstances. Don’t be a slave to familiarity.

When you click on the link to my article below, be sure to take the time to think of ways that you can be more proactive in you life. Make sure to leave a comment and I will respond.

Being dumped is rough.

It can drain you, make you question yourself, and feel like you’ve lost a part of your identity.

I’ve been there.

Your first instinct is to think…

“What can I do to get him/her back?”

Followed by…

“I’ll change to make it work.”

Stop.

You need to get some perspective. Reacting emotionally to the situation will only make it worse.

When you click the link to my article below, I’ll show you 3 tips and tricks to help deal with a breakup.

The digital age is making things tough.

Sure, we have the ability to connect and communicate with nearly everyone, and the amount of information available at our fingertips is staggering (studies have show that Every 2 Days We Create As Much Information As We Did Up To 2003!)

With this comes “Information Overload.”

“How do I know what I’m reading is true?

“What I just read 10 minutes ago conflicts with this story!”

In my article below, I address how to discern fact from fiction. I go into detail about how to analyze information critically instead of just passively observing and taking the news at face value.

I’d like to hear you thoughts as well, so please take the time to comment!

Truth or Fiction?

In this post I discuss goal setting.

Setting goals is important. Without them you have nothing tangible to strive for. Sure, you may make some progress, learn something new, do something fun, but at the end of the day, you are just spinning your wheels.

I know I personally struggle with this. I am an idea person. I get an idea for a business or a video game or creating a new program, and I think through all the possibilities.

The problem is, nothing gets done.

I have found that one of the best ways to overcome this is to not allow myself to be satisfied with just hearing from others that something is a good idea.

I have taken it upon myself to not let myself feel a sense of accomplishment until something is completed.

I would encourage you to read the article below. I discuss 2 good tips on how to create and follow through with your goals.

Also, be sure to comment with your thoughts and I will respond.

In this post I talk about my personal battles with depression and how I overcame them.

Being depressed is a serious issue that doesn’t always get addressed as much as it should. I can tell you from personal experience that depression is real and there are no easily solutions to dealing with it.

Friends and family may have good intentions to help you out, but it can be tough for them to relate if they have never experienced it before.

I have been there. I know what its like. I don’t want to say that our situations are exactly the same, but I do hope to at least bring in a fresh perspective to the troubling times you are going through.

I’d like for you to click on the link below and read my article. I’d like to hear what you think, and I’ll be sure to respond to any comments.
